Morray's Pum'kin Patch - Enjoy a short presentation and a hayrack ride then take home your very own pumpkin! They have gourds, corn, and milo shocks and other fall decorations for sale. (Gridley)

Wolf Creek Environmental Education Area - This area provides an opportunity to experience and learn about the nature of eastern Kansas. With the support of public and private organizations, this area was created to help visitors, especially children, learn about the environment. Understanding how Wolf Creek works in conjunction with the environment is an important part of conserving natural resources. (Burlington)

Wolf Creek Generating Station - Visit the only nuclear power plant visitors center in Kansas. See how Wolf Creek produces electricity by use of models, interactive displays and informative audios. You'll also get a bird's eye view of our control room simulator which monitors each stage of electricity production. (Burlington)

Wolf Creek Environmental Education Area

The Wolf Creek Environmental Education Area opened in September of 1994 offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the nature of eastern Kansas. The area consists of 160 acres on which there are three self-guided trails that start and end at the "silo."

Burlington, KS Nature Centers

1896 School House

The Rural Dale School which was located east of LeRoy, Kansas in Coffey County, was recently donated to the Coffey County Museum by Irene Woods. The 1896 school house has been moved next to the Museum and is currently undergoing restoration. Restoration should be completed early in 1997.

Burlington, KS Historic Schoolhouses

St. Francis Xavier Church

The St. Francis Xavier Church is one of Burlington's older churches, built in 1901. It replaced a frame building built in 1871.Parishioners excavated a basement beneath the existing building in 1954 and outfitted it as a church hall. Mass was offered by missionary priests as early as 1859

The Coffey County Museum, which features 12,000 square feet of displays, is located in Katy Park of the original Townsite of the City of Burlington, which was platted in 1857

Historic Homes Tour

This home was built in 1889 by Burlington banker, Thomas Foster. As was the custom in the Victorian era, the home is filled with fancy woodwork, stained glass windows, fireplaces, open stairways, and many other special accents.
