Additional Information
When visiting Red Cloud,The Cather Second Home offers two ways to see the only home the Cather's owned. We are delighted to host group or single tours, or invite overnight guests. This was the residence of Charles and Virginia Cather family from 1903 until 1931. Although Willa had left home by that time, her siblings, Jessica,James,Elsie, and Jack lived there with their parents. Many items which belonged to the Cather family are in their original places throughout the home.
Bedrooms include those of Willa, Mrs. Cather and the former kitchen(which has been renovated) are available for occupancy. We would love to share the Cather mystique with you in our home.
