Cave Run Lake Birdwatching

category : Birdwatching
Cave Run Lake Birdwatching The natural diversity of the area offers great opportunities for bird watchers. "Birders" from all over the state visit the area to view the many songbirds, shorebirds, raptors, waterfowl, game birds and owls residing in lake area. Kentucky is somewhat unique because many of the neotropical migrant birds nest here in the summer and many northern nesting birds spend their winters in the area. Expect to see plenty of giant Canada geese throughout the year. Visitors might also view bald eagles, ospreys and other less common birds.
