Dehydrator Bicycle Ride

Event Details

Bicycle race and ride (on separate courses). The fun rides are 10, 25, 50 and 62 miles south of town. The race course is a 14 mile loop east of Duncan on a hilly course. Race distance is determined by the age of competitor. Age groups are awarded medals in five-year age groups and overall age categories are under 21, 21-50, 50-65 and 65+. Entry is $20 (early) and $25 (late). First 400 will receive t-shirt and water bottle. All entrants receive entry in Simmons Center recreational center. Outdoor courtyard concert also planned on Friday evening. 8am. Handicap Accessible.

On The Chisholm Trail Statue

Oklahoma's largest bronze sculpture (16' high and 35" long) stands in Duncan, adjacent to the museum. The sculpture shows a chuch wagon followed by longhorn cattle on the move northward. Cowboys are intent on the herd. Of interest to young observers is the trail dog trotting alongside.
