Reptiles - native to the region and from around the world - are displayed here. Walk the grounds and enjoy open displays of hundreds of snakes in their natural habitat as well as turtles, alligators and iguanas. Educational reptile shows hourly. The gardens host many varieties of trees and flowers.

Open March through December, the market offers in-season fruits and vegetables, jams, jellies, pickles, honey, rice, fresh-baked bread, homemade casseroles and pies, and fresh Edisto shrimp. Gift baskets are available in the fall;
