The "Big E" Eldora Speedway located in Darke County is a half-mile, high-banked oval dirt track known for strong fields, close wheel-to-wheel action and outrageous purses. The Great Earl Baltes once paid $1 million to win for a dirt Late Model feature -- and the car counts, even for a Thursday night show, are impressive.
Purchased by NASCAR-great Tony Stewart in 2004 from Earl Baltes, Eldora is the place to be for all-star sprints, outlaws and late models.
