Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar changed the face of musical theater when it debuted on Broadway in 1971 with chart-topping songs such as “Superstar”, “Everything’s Alright”, and “I Don’t Know How to Love Him”. Independent Musical Productions is proud to present its own revival of the great musical as its 23rd season opener. Set in biblical times, Christ’s final days are dramatized with emotional intensity, thought-provoking edge and explosive theatricality. Propelled by a stirring score and thought-provoking lyrics, Jesus Christ Superstar is sure to raise the human spirit and ignite a passion in all who experience it.
