Event Details

Governor Riley and First Lady Patsy Riley will preside at the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Friday at 4:00 p.m. The ceremony is sponsored by the Garden Club of Alabama. The Christmas tree lighting ceremony started in 1950. The theme for each ceremony is "Every Light a Prayer for Peace" as a message of patriotism and hope for peace around the world.
