Junction, Texas

Established in 1876 with the formation of Kimble County, Junction today is the trade and retail center of a scenic, sparsely populated area nationally noted for the production of fine wool and mohair. Camping, fishing, canoeing and hunting are popular in the area. Kimble County has more flowing streams than any other Texas county with year-round fishing. Hunters find wild turkey, deer and game birds during season, squirrels throughout year, and exotics are also found in the area.

Schreiner (city) Park on Lake Junction has swimming pool, basketball courts, baseball fields and free overnight camping.
