8 Christmas in July - Christmas in July is Kaw City's most celebrated annual event. Festivities begin with a BBQ Dinner and Street Dancing. Hundreds flock to participate in events ranging from a Sand Sculpture contest, a childrens "Fish Chase contest", an "Iron Mam Obstcale Course", to fun games for the everyone. After a fun day, the highlight of the event begins at dusk with the spectacular lighted boat flotilla on the lake, followed by a dazzling fireworks display!
