Kerr Reservoir Area Hunting

Opportunities are excellent for the hunting enthusiast who comes to the area surrounding the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir. Approximately 20,800 acres of project lands have been made available for the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge. About 9,750 acres of these lands are open for public hunting. The remaining 11,050 acres is intended to provide a resting and roosting area for waterfowl.

Principle species present at the project include whitetail deer, fox and grey squirrel, cottontail and swamp rabbit, raccoon, mink, opossum, bobwhite quail, mourning dove and several species of waterfowl.
