The Mint Museums encompass one institution with two locations; the Mint Museum of Craft + Design is located in the heart of uptown Charlotte, just 10 minutes away from the Mint Museum of Art. Collections and exhibitions at the Mint Museum of Craft + Design focus on the presentation and study of traditional and contemporary crafts made of ceramics, glass, wood, metal and fiber, as well as all 20th century design disciplines. The museum complements its world-class collection with traveling exhibitions such as Woven Worlds: Basketry from the Cark Field Collection, and hosts a wide variety of educational programs and outreach activities throughout the year.
