Museum of Small Town Life Housed in the former Presbyterian Church of Dover Sunday School, the Museum of Small Town Life highlights the social life, commercial industry, and consumer goods available in late 19th century Delaware small towns. Exhibits depict a variety of small town businesses and services including a general store, print shop, pharmacy, and post office. In addition to the permanent installations, the museum is currently featuring the exhibit, "Sealed in Glass, Stone, and Tin," which showcases a wide array of 19th-20th century Delaware-made and -used containers including medicine bottles, stoneware jars and jugs, and products from Delaware's canning industry.

Tours of the museum are available throughout the day. However, tours for large groups require prior reservations. For more information on group tours, go to our Museum Activities page.


Admission: Free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sunday, 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Open most state holidays.
