Turkey, deer and quail are hunted around O.C. Fisher Lake. San Angelo State Park has a hunting program with a State Park Annual Hunting Permit and special drawing hunts for deer and spring turkey. Angelo State University also has leased some of the lands at O.C. Fisher, and they also offer hunting for deer and turkey. O.C. Fisher Lake Fishing

A low-oxygen fish kill in summer 2004 eliminated most fish populations in O.C. Fisher. TPWD has stocked adult largemouth bass, white crappie and channel catfish to help rebuild the lake. Fishing will be fair to poor for a year or two until populations are re-established.
