28 Summer Festival & Fireworks Concert - The Annual Summer Festival & Fireworks begins at Noon with Bluff City Shows Carnival, a Petting Zoo, and concessions. At 7:00 p.m. The Mark Chapman Band will be in concert. Tickets are $10.00 per person/$20.00 for V.I.P. seating. At approx 9:25, we will host the area's first fireworks show of the summer! 27 - 28 The Fight for Texas County - This event is a MCWRA MAX EFFORT Civil War reenactment. The event will feature mock Civil War battle's including Cavalry, Artillery, and Infantry. Battle times are Saturday 1:00pm and Sunday 1:30pm. There will be a period medical demonstration after the Saturday battle. On Saturday night at 7:00pm there will be a period ball/dance featuring the 52nd Regimental String Band and at dark a night firing of the Artillery. Sunday morning at 10:00 am there will be a period church service. Sutler's and vendor's will be set up. There will be plenty to do both days for the entire family. See the Civil War come to life. Camps open at 9:00 am each day. Admission to the event is free but there will be a 5.00 dollar parking fee per vehicle. The parking fee is good for both days.
