Lawrence Arts Center

The Lawrence Arts Center serves the community and region by providing an extensive calendar of exhibitions, performances and classes. Housed in spacious, new quarters, the Arts Center is the hub of arts activities in Lawrence.

Lawrence Community Theatre

Spencer Museum of Art

Seven galleries display selections from the permanent collection of over 17,000 works of art. Special exhibitions drawn from the collection for touring from other museums are displayed in four additional galleries.

Wilcox Classical Museum at Kansas University

Life-size plaster casts of ancient Greek and Roman sculpture and antiquities, such as vases and coins, are a part of this collection established in 1888

Douglas County Courthouse

The Douglas County Courthouse was built of native limestone in 1904. It was saved from demolition in the 1960s when a modern courthouse was built, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is currently in use by the county.
