The Olathe Police Foundation is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 fund raising organization benefiting the men and women of the Olathe Police Department. Founded in 2006, the purpose of the Olathe Police Foundation is to raise funds for "resources for a safe Olathe.". These funds are used to assist the police department in providing enhanced personnel training opportunities, purchasing specialized equipment and supporting their annual officers' awards and recognition banquet along with other venues that may not be supported budgetarily.
