Green Light Construction & Painting is an owner-operated company specializing in improvements and additions to existing and historic homes, with a focus on preserving and enhancing buildings of character. We are craftspeople who pride ourselves on detailed finish work. We prepare thoroughly for each job and choose the most appropriate high-quality materials. Above all, we believe in honest communication with our clients.

The owner, Maxwell Rush, graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in fine and applied arts. After working for others in the home construction field, he realized he wanted to do things better. In 2002, he expanded the scope of his painting company to include home renovation. Part of what makes working with Green Light such a unique experience is Maxwell’s artistic sensibility and his belief that every detail counts. For nearly a decade he has worked to satisfy the owners of more than 150 homes in Portland.
