Silverton, Texas

Silverton was established as the county seat when Briscoe County was organized in 1892. One of only two towns in county, Silverton is the commercial center for the immense farming-ranching area that includes spectacular scenery in Palo Duro Canyon, Tule Canyon and the edge of Cap Rock.
