Legacy Art & BookWorks

State Historical Society of Missouri

The Society actively collects materials related to Missouri history. The Society preserves paintings, political cartoons, fine art prints, photographs, newspapers, maps, and the written records of individuals, families, and organizations.

Cosmopolitan Recreation Area

A 520-acre park includes large playground, skateboard park, Rainbow Softball Center, mountain bike course, shelters, hard surface fitness trail and more.

Three Creeks Conservation Area

There are 1,277 acres with hiking, biking and horse trails. Scenic streams and bluffs along three creeks. Primitive camping permitted. Home to rare and endangered Topeka Shiner and Cherrystone Snail. No facilities.
