Terrell, Texas

The first settlers arrived in the area in 1848, and Terrell was organized about 1873 when the railroad built through on donated land in return for a depot being built on the designated portion of the land. Currently, Terrell is a regional industrial-distribution center with over 40 industries, including five Fortune 500 companies. It is also home of Southwestern Christian College and Trinity Valley Junior College, both accredited junior colleges. There are more than 20 historical markers and many historic homes, churches and buildings in Terrell.
