The Rhett House Inn dates to 1820 when Beaufort was a prominent coastal town noted for its rich culture and politics. Restored after the War Between the States, this authentic antebellum plantation house with its sprawling verandahs and white columns emulates the beauty and romance of the Old South. Bordering the Intracoastal Waterway and in Beaufort's historic district, the Rhett House Inn is perfectly situated to discover the glory of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Whether you're inside or outdoors, there is always a place to relax. The verandahs are perfect for afternoon tea with homemade cookies and brownies or evening hors d'oeuvres with wine and cocktails.
