29 - 31IA0304004e003 - Central City Midwest Dutch Oven Gathering - The Iowa Prairie Rose Cookers Dutch Oven Society and the Linn County Conservation host the Midwest Dutch Oven Gathering. Check in begins on Friday at 12noon with a group meal served Friday evening.
Saturday's activities include group meals, cook-offs, demos, Dutch oven cooking classes, vendors, a Scout Dutch Oven Show Down, live music by McPunk Brothers Bluegrass, and a celebrity demo by Iowa's own outdoor cooking specialist, "Cousin Rick", Rick Black of Fort Madison, Iowa.
Classes will be taught by Cindy and Charlie Overton from Black Pot Demos, Wisconsin.
Come and enjoy the good food, good fun, and good fellowship of Dutch Oven cooking and the beauty of the fall harvest season in Iowa. Registration is $10/household if received by May1st. After May 1st: $15/ household".
