Whether you're an occasional runner, bike rider, fitness buff or serious athlete, the Run, Row, Rock & Roll Adventure Race in Fairbury is one of 10 NSC Races you won't want to miss! Fairbury's race is one of 10 held throughout the year. Teams of 3 will test their skills and endurance in a variety of disciplines. People can participate in teams of three; male, female or co ed. Over 120 participants are expected to run, canoe, bike, climb and navigate their way through the 32 mile recreation course and the 40 mile competitive course with the help of volunteers and several hundred spectators cheering them on. The Fairbury Adventure Race is sponsored by the Burkley Wellness Center and Angry Cow Adventures.

I.0.0.F. Temple Building

What is today known as the Ackerman Building was originally called the I.0.0.F. Temple Building. It was the first building downtown to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The building housed the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 54 and was built in 1894-1
