At 10,000 acres, the Wilds is the largest conservation center in North America and home to rare and endangered animal from around the world, as well as home to hundreds of indigenous species. This special event offers families an opportunity to explore the Wilds' unique habitats during the spring season. Some rugged walking required. Be prepared to spend time outside. Bring plenty of warm layers and lunch. Reservations and pre-payment required. Meet at the main parking lot on International Road.

5 Annual EcoThon at the Wilds - This annual 5K-10K walk/run is an event you won't want to miss! Runners and walkers will be immersed in nature as they navigate the Wilds' 5K and 10K trail courses along lakes and woodlands and through grasslands that stretch as far as the eye can see. Entry fees to EcoThon help support the Wilds' important conservation science and education programs. Custom designed shirt, Safari Transport pass, along with other free gifts and food are given to all pre-registered entrants. Custom commemorative awards given to top runners in many categories. Race begins at 10 a.m.At 10,000 acres, the Wilds is the largest conservation center in North America and home to rare and endangered animals from around the world, as well as home to hundreds of indigenous species. This special event offers both serious runners and families looking for a healthy walk an opportunity to explore the Wilds' unique habitats during the spring season. Reservations suggested.

17 - 6 Sunset Safari at the Wilds - Twilight is a very special time of day to experience the Wilds, one of the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. Saturday evenings June through September you can enjoy a buffet dinner on the deck of the Overlook Cafe, then board one of our Open-Air (weather permitting) Safari Transports for a guided tour through our open-range animal areas, where rhinos, giraffes, antelope and other animals roam in large, natural habitats. This tour includes a brief stop at The Lake Trail. This stop on the tour features a walking trail and overlooks the largest lake on the property. You will also stop at some of our unique animal management centers such as those for cranes, rhinos and other hoofstock, as well as our Mid-Sized Carnivore Conservation Center. Your tour will be escorted by a member of the Wilds' animal management staff who can answer your questions about our important conservation work.
