26 - 27 Cork Thornton Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament - The tournament draws over 65, two person teams from all over Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, and Iowa and as far away as Missouri. It is the only ice fishing tournament that pays 100 percent of the entry fees back to the top 20 places. Cork Thornton was an avid ice fisherman who died in an auto accident.

10 Annual Heart City Bull Bash - Sixty plus pens of bulls and commercial exhibits will be set up on Main Street ready for commercial cattlemen's scrutinizing eyes. Over 15 breeds and composites will be represented at the show with over $1,000,000 of cattle and machinery on display. It is not a contest or sale. It's simply an exhibit of great cattle and a chance to see a lot of cattle in one location. 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
