For 50 years, the 1865 home served as a family dwelling before it was converted into a tea room and was used for medical practices and apartments for 80 years.
In 1998, the property was purchased and fully restored back to a tea room where you can enjoy "proper tea."
A restored narrow-gauge geared locomotive, known as the Shay Locomotive, was built in 1925 by the Lima Locomotive Works and is located at the Allen County Museum Complex.
For a period of almost 70 years, the Lima Locomotive Works built 2,761 Shay locomotives, the last in 1945
The Lincoln Park Railway Exhibit features a Nickel Plate 779, the last steam engine ever built in Lima, Ohio at the Lima Locomotive Works. You will also find a luxurious private car, built in 1883 and a Nickel Plate caboose built in 1882 and an authentically equipped 1895Lima, OH Railroad History
