Kansas

Kansas makes more sense once you stop looking for a single destination and start thinking in routes. It’s a state built for stitching together small towns, lakes, museums, and long stretches of road into a full day that feels complete without being crowded. Nothing is especially difficult to reach, and that ease is part of what makes it work.

Most trips here are built around movement. You pick a direction, give yourself a few anchor stops, and let the space between them do some of the work.
