Bo’s Hollow

Get a sample of life in rural Missouri in the 30’s. Walk through the Village at your own pace. Enjoy the serenity of Bo’s Hollow.

Take a 15 min. ride in a Model A Ford. If you have never ridden in a rumble seat this is your chance. If you are not as young as you use to be, the tudor sedan is easy to get in and out of. The Model AA bus is available for larger groups. You will go through the Covered Bridge to Ashley Creek. See the ram pumps as they fill a pond. You never know what wild life you will see as you journey along with the creek. See who is hiding in the cave on the bluff above the creek. Then return to finish enjoying the Village.

There is always activity in Big Boy’s BBQ & Smoke House. Delicious BBQ Beef Sandwiches on fresh baked buns, Fresh baked cookies and brownies, homemade candies, summer sausage and seven flavors of beef jerky.

You may decide to take a Picnic Ride. You would take the ride but stop at the pavilion on the Creek for thirty minutes and enjoy a picnic lunch prepared just for you by Big Boy. After your meal you will be picked up and continue your ride back to the Village.

Check out the Gas Station, Hardware Store, Gift Shop, Post Office and Floyds Barber Shop. Tours to the Restoration Shop and Memorabilia Room located on a beautiful hilltop next to the Log Cabin are available by reservation. Only one tour per day for 2 – 4 people.

Bo’s Hollow is fun yet educational for children. Children always enjoy shelling and grinding corn and pumping water from the well or seeing how the windmill works. The Hoosegow, Outhouse and Mine are always favorites.

The fun continues as Bo’s Hollow is located only two miles South of Montauk State Park.
