category : Other Events
The Rowlesburg Historical Society and the Town of Rowlesburg has planned a centennial celebration for Tray Run Viaduct.

The event includes a site visit, guest speakers representing the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, banquet, unveiling of new train exhibit at the Railroad Depot Museum and, a rare opportunity for a night time photo op of the viaduct, located on Route 72, 7/10 of a mile from the City limits of Rowlesburg.

The Tray Run Viaduct is an important part of West Virginia history. It is a wonderful example of early 20th century railroad engineering and architecture. It was built by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and significantly added to the expansion of the railroad and the economy of the state.
