Centralia City Lake Fishing

category : Fishing
Centralia City Lake is usually noted for good channel cat, white bass and crappie fishing.
White bass numbers are down some. The sample numbers of crappie are one of the highest in over 10 years. Most of the crappie are below 8 inches (good for next year), but fair numbers of larger crappie are there.
There are saugeye in the lake though numbers are down some. However, most of the population is over the 18 inch minimum length limit. The road beds are usually a good place to try with crankbaits seeming to be one of the favorites used in this area.
There are bass and there is typically an 18 inch minimum. The numbers of bass in the lake are not great and at times poor but for those who love these fish the best producing areas are the rock piers, the standing timber and around the West boat ramp.

Good shore access for those that don\'t have boats. The lake typically has a good population of bluegill to help the kids learn what it is like to catch a fish.
