A traditional layout, where most of the trouble is in plain sight, provides a playable challenge for golfers of all skill levels. For nearly 40 years, the Foxfire East and West courses have greeted golfers with green fairways year round, strategically located bunkers and majestic longleaf pines. Considered the most challenging, the East course covers hilly terrain with several doglegs cut through towering pines. Shot making is a premium on this well-bunkered layout with characteristic elevated greens. Heavily guarded with deep bunkers, it is important to position the ball on the proper side of the fairway for the best approach angle to these slightly smaller greens.
