Hillsdale Lake Equine Trails

The Marysville equestrian area on the east side of the reservoir has approximatley 30 miles of marked and unmarked trails available to horseback riders. Outside of this area, horse and riding of livestock is allowed only on maintained roads, bridle paths and parking areas. Livestock is not allowed in developed picnicking, camping or beach areas.
An equestrian campground (Saddle Ridge Campground) was opened in 1998. This primitive campground area provides horseback riders with an area to park trailers and to stay over night as they use the horseback trails at the lake. This campground is located on the east side of the lake on 253rd Street directly west of the Rural Water District No.2 treatment plant.
