Ozark Lake

category : Recreation
As the Arkansas River flows through the state, it reaches its northern-most point in a sweeping bend. Now a part of Ozark Lake, this big bend was called "Aux Arc" by the French and it is from the French that the lake and the nearby city of Ozark received their names. Fishing, camping and other recreational opportunities may be found in and around the lake's 173 miles of shoreline.
