“Outdoors Day” Family Event at International Wildlife Museum is Back!

The International Wildlife Museum is celebrating the great outdoors with its popular “Outdoors Day” family event, Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event features live animal demonstrations, including tarantulas, snakes and lizards. Attendees will be able to pet and brush live horses and learn about barrel racing, and Tucson Amateur Astronomers will be conducting solar viewing.
There will be presentations throughout the day from the U.S. Forest Service, Marine Awareness and Conversation Society, the Girl Scouts, the Empire Ranch Foundation, Heifer International and their edible bugs, Southern Arizona Modelers, Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, Tucson Electric Power, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Southwest Conservation Corps. Local food trucks, Taco Queta, MJ’s Hotdogs, and AF&F Kettlecorn will be on hand for your culinary enjoyment.
Admission prices are: $4 for general admission and free for children ages 3 and under. As always, Museum members are admitted free.
