The first or second weekend in June over 60 participants are part of the City Wide Garage Sale. A map of the garage sale location is published in the Cordell Beacon including location copies made available to local convenience stores. Sponsored by the Cordell Chamber of Commerce. 8:00 AM - ?

The historic Greer County courthouse is truly the center of town and the center of activity. The entire square is surrounded by a unique WPA stone wall with corner fountain structures. In the front lawn is a granite plaque with a brief history of the struggle of the Greer County "empire."
