Enid Chautauqua is proud to present a special online presentation of the 2021 Summer Chautauqua series, "Twentieth Century Visionaries: Catalysts for Change," from June 15th through June 19th.
The series will feature portrayals of Gene Roddenberry, Gertrude Bell, Marshall McLuhan, Marie Curie, and Frank Lloyd Wright. Throughout the week, expect to enjoy the programs and special workshops by each of the scholars, all of which will be conducted online.

In order to do our part for the health and safety of the scholars, our volunteers, and the audience, the 2021 Summer Chautauqua performances and workshops will he held virtually. We look forward to returning to the Humphrey Heritage Village at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in the summer of 2022!

Outdoor Murals

"Cromwell Mural" - Painted on the side of a building in the Cromwell Garden, this mural represents the home of the prominent J. Lee Cromwell family who contributed generously to the development of Enid. (1898 - 1992) Artist - Robert Steele, '93

Railroad Museum of Oklahoma

If you are fascinated by trains, you will like the Railroad Museum of Oklahoma. Within the museum compound, there are six cabooses from railroads that have served Enid (Union Pacific, BNSF, Grain Belt), a baggage car, motor cars, a three-dome tank car, and a 50-ton engine.

Humphrey Heritage Village

The Humphrey Heritage Village includes an elaborate old Victorian style home that has been refurbished. It is known as the "Glidewell Home." Also included is the original land office where pioneers lined up to file their claims after the great land rush of 1893

Garfield County Court House

The Garfield County Court House built in 1934, is more than a government center for records and civic business. Walk around the beautifully landscaped square and see the sculpture of the Tri-State Music Festival by artist, Tasso Pitsiri, and the Boy Scout Statue of Liberty presented in 1950.

Midgley Museum

At the Midgley Museum, you can view an eclectic assortment of objects and artifacts collected over a lifetime of rock collecting by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Midgley. Gem and mineral enthusiasts will enjoy the array.
