7 - 6 Wilson County Agriculture Appreciation Dinner - Co-hosted by the Fredonia and Neodesha Chambers of Commerce with the support of area businesses, this dinner thanks area farmers and ranchers for their contribution to the local economy. Held this year at the Neodesha High School Commons and Theater at 6:30 pm on Wed., March 2nd.

Speaker will be Phillip Thomas who will portray western artist Charles Marion Russell (1864-1926). He will appear through arrangements with the Kansas Humanities Council, a non-profit cultural organization with 30 years experience in promoting public understanding of the history, traditions and ideas that shape our lives and build community.

17 3rd Annual Arts and Crafts Fair - Fredonia Flag Fund Group's Annual Fundraiser

One day only. Bigger and better every year! Inside and outside booth spaces. Kids Korner. Crafting demos. Lunch provided for exhibitors.

Proceeds from the fair go to the Fredonia Flag Fund and to improvements in Fredonia's West Park where the show is held.

This is a juried show that requires original work. All display and food items will be carefully considered for acceptance into the fair. If you are new to the show, the selection committee requests photographs of articles for exhibit with a brief description of your work.

A total of 150 booth spaces are available. Each space is approximately 10' x 10'. Tables and display equipment are the responsibility of the exhibitor. Electricity is available for an additional $5.00 per booth. Exhibitors must provide their own extension cord.

Entry fees:

$35 per booth space.
$5 extra for electricity.
$5 extra if received after August 1, 2004.

No refunds or cancelations after Aug. 27, 2004.

24 Tastings and Treasures Auction - Fundraising "treasures" auction and tastings.

Sacred Heart Hall.

Tastings at 6:30. Auction at 7:00.

Admission: One treasure to be auctioned off. For your donation, you will receive 10 coupons to be used at the tasting stations. Additional coupons may be purchased.

(A treasure can be something you make or something you bake, it can be that 40 year old wedding gift that is still on a shelf in the closet, it can be that old vase in the drawer, or a Fredonia souvenier from the past. Anything that someone might be willing to bid on.)
