Located on the site of NC's 1789 Constitutional Convention, the museum interprets the history of Orange County from pre-settlement period through 1950s. Collection includes the only complete set of Colonial weights and measures in the US and the desk of Governor Thomas Burke. A second floor gallery features works of a different local artist each month.

Now used as the Town Hall, this early 19th-century house was once owned by Chief Justice Thomas Ruffin, who died there in 1870. The house has notable interior woodwork and six interesting outbuildings. Free tours available.
