Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center
category : Nature Centers
The Crane Trust is a habitat conservation nonprofit organization located on the beautiful Platte River in South Central Nebraska. In addition to offering tours of one of the greatest migrations in the world, the Trust works year-round to protect and preserve nearly 10,000 acres of critical habitat for endangered Whooping Cranes, Sandhill Cranes, and countless other species sharing fragile river and prairie ecosystems.
Come inside the Visitor Center to discover our interactive Flyway Map and migratory species display. Shop the Crimson Crown Gift Shop and view magnificent photographs and art in the Hornady Art Gallery. Venture out the back doors to encounter the butterfly garden and a small research herd of American bison along the path to a 35-foot observation tower. If you'd like to keep exploring, cross two footbridges to access nature trails along the Platte River. We have something for everyone!
