Bristlecone Bricks and Model Train Show

The Bristlecone Bricks and Train Show, Nevada’s premier model train and Lego show, returns to Ely, Nevada at the East Ely Depot Museum's Freight Barn at the Nevada Northern Railway (NNRY). Numerous model railroaders and Lego fans will present layout and displays to amuse and delight kids and adults alike. Hundreds of feet of Lego creations and model train layouts will be set up to view. Volunteers will allow you a chance to operate a vintage handcar on working railroad tracks.

The show venue in the East Ely Freight Barn is located just a few short steps of the century old East Ely Depot and the working vintage trains of the historic NNRY. Working machine shops, historic artifacts and the world famous railroad cats Dirt and DJ may all be found nearby. Multiple departures and arrivals of passenger excursions, pulled by steam and diesel locomotives, are scheduled throughout the weekend. See century old engines pass within feet of the models. Smell the odor of burning coal. Hear the sound of the whistle and the conductor’s iconic call of "all-aboard". Feel the power and rumble of the iron-horses. Memories and photography opportunities abound as you are immersed in the age of steam and rail.
