category : Camping
Bull Shoals Lake Camping Campgrounds operated by the Corps of Engineers offer camping enthusiasts a wide variety of opportunities and experiences. Over 500 campsites, ranging from rustic to those with electrical and water hookups, are located in twelve parks situated to provide access to most areas of the lake. Seasons generally run from April through October and vary from park to park. Campsite reservations may be made through the National Recreation Reservation Service.

Corps of Engineers campgrounds are located in River Run, Beaver Creek, Buck Creek, Theodosia, Pontiac, Oakland/Ozark Isle, Lakeview, Dam Site, Highway 125, Lead Hill and Tucker Hollow parks. Primitive camping areas require a permit from the Mountain Home Project Office and include Indian Point, Big Bend, Lowry Park, Yocum Creek, and West Sugarloaf.

Many parks offer designated swimming areas that are perfect spots to cool off on a sunny summer day. These include Buck Creek, Highway 125, Lakeview, Lead Hill, Oakland, Point Return, and Theodosia. Day use fees are charged in designated swimming areas. Users may pay a daily fee of $1 per person up to $4 per car or purchase an annual pass for $30.
