Lt. Governor's Invitational Turkey Hunt

Okemah is one of four municipalities designated as a "host community" for the Lt. Governor's Invitational Turkey Hunt. This three-day event was established in 1987 and began coming to Okemah in 1995. It serves as an economic development tool for the state of Oklahoma, affording state officials the opportunity to invite business leaders and economic development professionals to Oklahoma from around the country. The guest list is compiled with input from the Commerce Department, State Chamber of Commerce, local chambers and other state and local officials.

The Lt. Governor's Invitational Turkey Hunt is the perfect way to show off the exciting opportunities Okemah has to offer. It provides business leaders and economic development professionals an opportunity to experience all the benefits of relocating to our community. They also have the chance to see for themselves what it's like to enjoy Okemah's warmth and hospitality.
