Emanuel Haldeman-Julius Home

Emanuel Haldeman lived at this farm home with his family beginning in 1918. The home is listed on the Kansas State Register of Historic Places.

Emanuel was editor of the Appeal To Reason newspaper and "Little Blue Books." The Socialist family entertained such people as Upton Sinclair, Clarence Darrow and Will Durant.

Anna Marcet, his wife, was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. H.W. Haldeman. She was an actress and author.

Emanuel was called the "Henry Ford" of the Publishing industry.
