The Alabama Center for the Book will enrich the lives of elementary, middle and high school students and the general public through the development and implementation of an annual state-wide book festival. The festival will create the opportunity for Alabamians to share in the literary culture of their state as well as to be exposed to excellent writers from around the country. The goal of the festival will be to create an environment of readers and writers interacting with one another with the common interest of loving books and reading.
