Mother K 5K

The Mother K 5K is a walk/run event in memory of Katie Buchanan Gant, originally from Council Grove, KS. Proceeds from this event will go to the Katie Gant Memorial Scholarship Fund for a Council Grove High School senior with the goal of pursuing a healthcare major- just like Katie did. We'd love participants from all over to join us for a run/walk through historic Council Grove, KS.

The one-room Field School, closed at the end of the 1945-46 school year, is remarkably well preserved. It was moved from its original site 8 miles south of Council Grove to Maple Camp in 1999
