Event Details

This Chamber sponsored event is a must for the whole family. Activities begin in the afternoon, with local businesses being open for Christmas shopping. Santa arrives at 5:00 to get all the children's wish lists. A chamber sponsored soup supper is held in conjunction with Santa coming to town. The evening is topped off with sleigh rides via a 5th wheel trailer to enjoy the Christmas lights and view the best decorated homes in Alma. Second Saturday in December.

Field School House

This imposing, 76-foot-long native stone barn was built into the bank of a hill in 1871 on land owned by the town's founder, Seth Hays. It's the only structure remaining from the Morris County Poor Farm, which existed here from 1889-1945.
