Flandrau Observatory

Flandrau Observatory Stop by after sunset to view the heavens through our 16-inch cassegrain telescope. An expert astronomer/telescope operator is always on hand to direct your attention to planets, galaxies, star clusters, or to answer any questions you may have. Come visit the Flandrau Observatory for an educational evening experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Flandrau Science Center's Observatory is open FREE to the public Wednesday through Saturday evenings (weather permitting). The observatory is available for rental on Monday and Tuesday nights (an additional fee applies on other nights).

The Observatory is closed during major holidays (including but not limited to Christmas, Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day)
