19th-century coastal defense fort located on the Thames River. Also former location of Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Visitor Center with exhibits, site interpretive signage; fishing pier, picnicking.

Hours: Grounds: year-round, daily 8 a.m.-sunset. Fort and Visitor?s Center: Memorial Day-Columbus Day, Wed.-Sun. 9-4.
