The three-day Gila County Gem & Mineral Show is held at the Gila County Fairgrounds, three miles north of the junction of highways 60 and 70 near Globe. The popular gem show features loose stones as well as finished jewelry, lapidary equipment, books and tools, minerals, and slabs. Artisans will be on hand to demonstrate gold and silver casting, silver smithing, chain making, fire agate polishing, twist wire craft, and channel and custom jewelry making. Fr/Sa 9 am - 5 pm, Su 9 am - 4 pm.
